This course introduces both the conceptual foundations and
the technical issues in the Information Systems (IS).
This course offers a survey of the IS disciplines that will
enable all business school students to understand the
relationship of major IS components and their curriculum as
The technical aspect of information systems and its
relevance to business functions will also be covered.
Emphasis will be on the application of existing software to
achieve a reasonable understanding of the basic concepts in
Attendance 5% (At least 70%)
Presentation and Participation 10%
Final Quiz 30%
All students should attain at least 30% in each of the above

The course is about how modern information systems are used in corporates, especially in E-commerce. But to be honest, I felt like I didn't learn anything from this course. It taught you some Virtual Basics (just a little), some Microsoft Access (just a little) and some other random stuffs.
(The instructor didn't have an electronic version of syllabus, so I forgot what the assessment is.)
