20% Attendance and Participation
This is a compulsory course for all students from the Faculty of Education and introduces students to concepts related to school-based curriculum development, including pedagogical innovations, professional learning communities, curriculum leadership, cooperative learning, extended learning, curriculum integration, curriculum implementation, and curriculum evaluation.
20% Class participation - complete some online tasks in groups via their mobile electronic devices in some lectures
40% Group project - conduct a 20-minute oral presentation in groups of 5-6 based on 1 of the 3 given options (an inquiry project about school-based curriculum development, critique of a school-based curriculum project, creation of a school-based curriculum project) with the aid of powerpoint slides
40% Personal Reflective Statement - write a 2-page (single spacing) essay reflecting on your experience in the group project individually (proper APA format is required)
