Course Description
This course gives an introduction about the modern history of Southeast Asia from European colonization up to independence around 1950.
The lecturer tried to cover different Southeast Asian countries as much as possible. 
Assessment
25% discussion on blackboard  (you comment about a question professor asks in class, later you comment someone else's work)
25% tutorial presentation and attendence (just 4 tutorials)
50% Final paper (the lecturer provides a wide range of topics to choose from)
