The course aims to teach us how to apply different logical rules to test the validity of an argument. Hence, we'll not be fooled by others easily.

The course aims to provide a basic training in critical reasoning as a methodological foundation of independent thinking. Students will learn how to extract, construct, and evaluate arguments; how to identify common fallacies and to reflect on the use of language and its bearing on clear thinking; and how to think critically about issues in both real life situation and theoretical arguments which they commonly encounter in the course of their studies.

The leature is bad, you hardly understand what he is doing.
Only have mid term and final, both are important.
Different kinds of arguments are covered. Students are required to evaluate the arguments by applying theories.

First of all, light course load. There's no written homework, no attendence requirement, no project, and no paper. The course can help you to think in a quite different way though sometimes I found myself no very happy with what the professor said.
