Course Description
The purpose of this course is to apply concepts from introductory micro- and macroeconomics (i.e., ECON1001, ECON1002) to understand a variety of important problems faced by developing economies. The emphasis is on concepts and basic theories that can be applied in a variety of contexts. Potential topics to be discussed include inequality, economic growth, population problems and 
international trade
Assessment
Your final grade will depend on three things: your homework (15%), a midterm examination (25%), and your final exam grade (60%).
