Professor: Dr. KOT Hung Wan
useful course, good grade lecturer

Professor: Tomohiro Inoue
Monotone but explains different concepts clearly. Although the course has some foundational knowledge from PSYC2350, he explains them clearly to students who haven't taken/completed it yet. The textbook may help you understand better but the format is very annoying to read. The assessment of tutorial participation is a bit troublesome, as it requires you to ask questions in every presentation. Lecture not mandatory but I suggest going to it as this course introduces some linguistics concepts that could be easier to understand in person.

Professor: Au Winton Wing Tung
The professor is very passionate, outgoing and friendly. He actively engages the students by asking questions, telling jokes, and showing video demonstrations. Explains concept in a clear way. However he can be ditzy sometimes, such as forgetting to teach a certain topic and telling the wrong date for the midterm (these may be due to cancellation of first class). Lectures and tutorials are not mandatory, but tutorials are a good time to discuss group project with TAs.

Professor: Maurer Urs
Professor is kind-hearted and friendly. Teaching is ok-ish but the content of the Powerpoint is just copying the textbook. No need to attend lectures or tutorials unless you need to present/you are the audience group.

Professor: CHAN, Kin-lok
導師講解都ok,會用日常生活例子說明,上堂時會做練習,已經識嘅話唔上都得

Professor: Ho Ching Wai
Lectures are easy to understand and fun because the professor demonstrates topics using news documentary. No attendance required. Professor is responsible and helpful, explains assignment requirements clearly.

Professor: Mr. WONG On Tung
Very nice teacher, gave us hints on what questions are on the written test, can point out any problems with our posture

Professor: Yin Xiaotong
May directly read from Lecture slides sometimes but still try to engage students by asking questions (but people rarely respond). However she is very helpful when you have questions regarding the group project, as she will reply with great detail and explanation. The tutorials are useless and can skip because it only teaches how to use Jamovi, which was already covered in PSYC2010.

Professor: Ms. LAM Shirley
Friendly and considerate; she will extend deadlines if she thinks students are having difficulty and welcomes consultations. She also thoroughly explains the assignment rubrics with some examples so we how to do better in our coursework. The course itself is a bit chur though, since you cannot rely on cue cards for the persuasive presentation, you have to spend more time to prepare.

Professor: Mr. Oliver YUNG
nice presentation skill, very passionate during class. But grading quite tight, total 75.8% dou B (suppose should be B+)

Professor: Du Julan
a bit boring in class but you have to attend to know which part he talked about and which part are skipped. Although it is open-book but you won't have time to go thought all by yourself at the end of semester(that's why you have to attend lesson). You need to prepared for it so that you can finish the final exam on time.

Professor: Hugo IP
easy and leng grade. exams are not difficult as long as you attend lessons and know how to do the exercise.

Professor: BAI Ying
This course did performed a different view to review economic performance of countries. It started with the solow model but the latter part is purely text. To conclude, it has some part of math but still in an acceptable range. For the group projects, he was nice and provided a lot of useful comments on the project e.g how he wanted us to show the differences. Maybe a bit fast when he was teaching the math part but overall still good teaching performance.

Professor: Zhang Yifan
For mid term, only T/F with explanation and some short questions. For final, MC and some long essay questions. Although the class is quite boring but the workload is chill (essay only need to write 10-15 pages including graphics and tables). Recommended to take this course.

Professor: Travis Ng
He is bit aggressive at class and during consultations but grading dou ok geh if you did not scared out by him and followed his instructions on your projects. Be aware that you really have to prepare something before doing the consultation otherwise it will be a tough time for you e.g get a lot of questions from him.

Professor: Mr. LAU Ching
Varies between different professors. My professor is interactive, fun, and encourages active participation and tells us his life stories.

Professor: LAU Siu Lun
Friendly and enthusiastic, the professor engages the class by discussing interesting historical events and showing some pictures/videos. However, they are not heavily related to the exam, so you don’t have to attend class to get a good grade. When you don’t know how to do the book report, the professor would give you some ideas to write about. The course does not have heavy workload but isn't easy to get a good grade either, as you need to have rich knowledge of Hong Kong history.

Professor: Dr. Fok Hung Kit
Professor's English is a bit poor. However, he's friendly and helpful. If you have any questions, you can ask anytime on Padlet and he'll answer all of them in great details during the lectures. However I do not recommend this course as a faculty package if you want an easy A.

Professor: Varies
The exam is very tricky. For the MCQ, you need to memorize a lot of specific details in the lecture notes. Furthermore, the questions asked may not be covered in the lecture notes and only mentioned verbally in lectures. Some questions regarding the history of NA can only be found on the website. As for the LQ, you need to write 2 essays of 500 words each, yet the rubrics of the LQ is unclear.

Professor: Mr. LAU Jimmy
Enthusiastic, helpful, and friendly. Explains contents and assessment requirements clearly and thoroughly. The teacher encourages participation in class and lets us discuss in groups. Understanding of students' needs. The course itself has less workload and more flexible than ELTU1001.

Professor: Ms Leung Wai Sze
內容有別於DSE中文,老師很好,但如果對中國文學興趣不大,則會覺得課程稍悶

Professor: Dr. Chow Yan Chi, Vinci
Dr Chow has good teaching skills and good English. Content taught in lectures is rather simple, but assignments are rather challenging.
2024-01-11
Professor: Dr Fred Ku
Dr. Ku’s lectures are always interesting as he always analyzes various business cases and social phenomena. He has excellent teaching skills and good English. I recommend you to take the course (even if you are not a business student) unless you hate group projects. There are group assignments and a pretty complicated group project - but these are perfectly fine if you have good groupmates.

Professor: Dr Fok Hung Kit
Lively and interactive teaching with demonstrations and examples sharing. Clear elaboration on concepts. Will answer in depth if you ask the right questions. Advice on writing was insightful and helpful.
2024-01-07
Professor: Dr Vince Ngan Siu Hin
Hypnotizing lectures. Clear teaching, helpful in answering students’ questions in great detail and demonstration. Lectures and tutorials are not mandatory but I suggest at least going to tutorials because TAs teach students how to use computer software to conduct statistical analyses.

Professor: Dr Fok Hung Kit
A really helpful lecturer if you ask questions. Provides clear explanations on concepts and theories. Will definitely answer you if you are curious about anything in psychology.

Very nice professor that is willing to teach students skills in tackling organic chemistry questions.

Professor: Prof. Chan Tak Wah Dominik
Attending lecture and note-taking is very important as midterm exam will ask questions that are taught in class only, but not found in other course materials.

Professor: Dr. YIN Ho Fai Hoover
The course content is not easy, and so as the homework questions. But the teacher is very nice and willing to answer questions and provide tactics for doing the homework, so the course could have a great grade if you attend most lectures.

Professor: Dr. Dorita Cheng
honestly the best professor at teaching, my grade was entirely because of how well she teaches and explain concepts. great sense of humour too. must attend lectures to understand what is going on but its worth it

Professor: Dr Vince Ngan Siu Hin
The professor answers students' questions quickly, thoughtfully and comprehensively. Plus, he posts all students' questions onto the Blackboard so other students can refer to it. In terms of the course content though, it is very math-heavy but the math is useless for future PSYC courses; only the concepts is useful. Lectures and tutorials can skip
