Yes, 100-hour work week is definitely not something unheard of, especially for junior IBD analyst in major deal office cities like Hong Kong, London or New York. IBD is famous for optimizing the human resources as best as possible to get the most stuff done. So if you're interested in IBD, make sure you prepare yourself for a working hour of 7am-12pm or more daily basis during an aggressive deal week, and if you're a junior analyst, you probably will be stuck on different request from the senior management on tedious data collection work, client meeting arrangement and pitch document preparation.
But obviously, this all comes with big compensation. You will be making a lot more money than an average university graduate.
