New professor, Killer. Avoid like a plague, boring as hell + lan grade. homework (problem set) is also hard af, especially terrible since its given out period overlaps exams. This should be an introductory course yet content is much harder than other prof in comparison.



Course Overview

This is a first course in macroeconomics. The objective is to introduce important

concepts and fundamental analytical frameworks, and relate them to

economics of the real world. We shall make sense of technical terms such as

GDP, inflation, unemployment, interest rate and exchange rate, and investigate

them in the perspective of national economy. We shall study important

financial and governmental institutions and analyze how they participate in

economic activities. We shall also learn the logic of economic policies and their

effects, in particular those concerning recessions.
