This course introduces the basics of information systems (IS) from a managerial perspective. The course emphasizes understanding IS at the social-technical interface with an interdisciplinary lens, from a data-driven, network-oriented and dynamic-control approach. A collection of toolkits (e.g., models, concepts, algorithms, theories) from the traditional IS discipline as well as from relevant fields will be introduced and exercised.
