Course Description
It is an elective course for students in the Faculty of Education while students from other faculties are also welcome to take the course. The course introduces some basic concepts of classroom management, such as understanding students' needs, classroom rules and routines, and inclusive education, as well as six theoretical models of classroom management: Rogerian Model, Kounin Model, Ginott's Model, Dreikurs Model, Glasser's Reality Model, and Canter Model.
Assessment
25% Reflection Paper - students write a self-reflection paper of 1500-2000 words by reflecting on their own styles lf strategies in classroom management and discussing insights from classroom discussions and activities
70% Term paper - students write an essay of 2500-3000 words by choosing one out of three options: an interview report, personal class analysis, or topical paper
10% In-Class activities - students complete activities and submit worksheets in groups regularly
