Course Description
This is an elective course for ELED students introducing e-learning strategies, activities, and objects that can be incorporated into English language teaching in Hong Kong to achieve different purposes, including language investigation, awareness raising, vocabulary learning, oral training, reading comprehension, live presentations, and in-class competitions.
Assessment
60% A blogfolio - students have to create a personal blogfolio comprising e-learning objects produced every session and short descriptions of those learning objects
20% A term paper and lesson plan - students write a one-page brief lesson plan of a double English lesson adopting the Flipped Classroom model as well as other e-learning strategies and a two-page explanation justifying e-learning activities and objects designed
20% E-learning objects - students produce an instructional video of not longer than five minutes for the lesson plan created and expected to be watched by target learners before the lesson and other e-learning objects used in the lesson
