Course Description
Listening skills (e.g. taking notes, anticipation) and speaking skills (e.g. stress, intonation, connected speech) are introduced through interactive activities.

This course is compulsory for ELED students while students taking other programmes are not allowed to take this course.
Assessment
10% Attendance and participation

40% 2 Listening Assignments (reflective essays on radio/TV programmes listened to/watched) - at most 8 pages (1.5 spacing)

10% 8-minute presentation (recommendation of a useful listening resource)

30% Pair Presentation (Micro-teaching on listening and/or speaking skills) (5% Proposal, 12.5% Presentation, 12.5% Report)

10% Listening Test (2 listening tests are conducted and only the higher score is taken for assessment)
