Course Description
This course is a compulsory course for students from the Faculty of Education. ELED students are required to take the course in the fourth year of study while other students from the Faculty of Education are required to take the course in the third year of study. Being a discipline-specific and EPP (English for professional purposes) course, this course introduces job search skills applicable in the education field as well as language for instruction and interaction.
Assessment
20% Resume - a 1-page resume responding to a self-selected job advertisement

20% Job application letter - a 1-page letter responding to a self-selected job advertisement

30% Mock interview - a 6-minute individual interview (1 minute of self-introduction + 5 minutes of Q&A) in relation to a self-selected job advertisement

30% Classroom / Workplace simulation - conduct a mini lesson or an education-related workshop individually for 5 minutes, in pairs for 10 minutes, or in groups of 3 for 15 minutes
