Course Description

1. Acquire the basic concepts of Cantonese grammar and raise language awareness. 2. Compare and contrast variants of Cantonese used in different social and historical contexts through service-learning activities, e.g. field trip. 3. Evaluate the role of Cantonese in the language education policy of Hong Kong through service-learning activities, e.g. survey. 4. Appreciate the crossover study between Cantonese and other disciplines.
