Course Description
Airline and Airport contribute significantly to tourism and the economy but both aircraft and airport require substantial amount of initial investment. In this course, students will learn the airline and airport from both operational and business perspective, its regulatory framework, how it contributes to tourism and the economy , and the related contemporary issues such as low cost carriers. The content includes the role played by international and local aviation authorities, regulatory framework, airport business, airport operation, air cargo, airline operation, airticket pricing, selection of aircraft, airline marketing and financing. After taking the course, students should have good knowledge on this business and prepare them for working in the aviation field.
Assessment
Final Exam: 50%

Mid Term: 30%

Homework: 10%

Participation: 10%
