Professor: Prof. DRUZIN Bryan Howard

Course Description
Below is a direct quote from the Course Outline:

"Jurisprudence is legal philosophy. The objective of the course is to provide a foundational introduction to a range of jurisprudential topics. A core aim of the course is to develop your capacity for abstract and conceptual thought, and your ability to reason from first principles—a critical legal skill. As well, it seeks to encourage you to reflect upon law as an institution. The course’s overarching theme is “the role of normativity in law.” Successful completion of this course will provide you with experience in working through

jurisprudential problems and applying the philosophical principles discussed in the lectures and readings."
Assessment
The assessment will be a take-home exam and will account for 100% of your final grade. You will have 48-hours to complete the exam.
