Course Description
In this course students will learn the basic types of experimental designs (e.g., within-subjects designs
vs. between-subjects designs) and know how to use them appropriately in various situations. Students
will also learn to address the important issues in designing and conducting psychological experiments
(e.g., Research ethics, Literature review, Control groups, Presentations).
Assessment
10% Assignments
30% Group project (Experimental research + presentation on one of the Chinese sayings/idioms)
20% Midterm exam (Open book; MC + Short Qs)
40% Final exam (Open book; MC + LQs)
