This course introduces you to one of the most powerful and productive modern disciplines for
studying the human mind. From the perspective of computation and information processing, you will
learn how the mind perceives, remembers, represents concepts, reasons, and makes decisions.
Theoretical and empirical results introduced in this class are the foundation for understanding
human behavior and performance.

Topics that are covered: Perception, Attention, Memory, Knowledge, Visual Imagery, Language, Problem Solving & Judging
Assessment
(From 2023-2024 Semester 1; the assessment scheme is subject to changes)
25% Midterm Quiz (All MC)
25% Final Quiz (All MC)
25% Essay (Write an Essay of 800 words with the help of AI tool e.g.: ChatGPT)
20% Group Presentation (15 mins; Presentation of a research paper in cognitive psychology)
5% Tutorial Participation (Asking questions during other group presentations.)
