This course introduces both classic and contemporary personality theories and research relating to individual differences; their relevance to daily life; and how to acquire personality knowledge through scientific investigation. The focus of the course is on everyday life applications, recent development and empirical evidence in support and against the theories, the design and interpretation of personality research.
Assessment
Tutorial Attendance (10%)
Group Project Presentation (20%) +Report (25%): Use two personality theories to analyze a famous person/character.
Individual Personality Analytic Paper (45%): Complete the HEXACO-PI-R test and analyze how each personality trait affects your functioning. In addition, the limitations of the test should be reviewed.
