Course Description
This course is designed for students who are interested in the many challenges of a future where Internet plays a central role in society and our lives. Approaching from a technologist

angle, we explore how we should be living and surviving our personal, economical, ethical and

social life in this Internet age. In addition to lectures, a series of group discussion sessions are

offered to allow students to explore their own opinions and appreciate the openness of many

issues arising from the rapid technological advances. The topics include Internet culture and

netiquette, cyber­bullying and Internet ethics, virtual identity and security, Internet spying,

conducting business on the Internet and many other issues. No engineering knowledge is

required.
