Course Description
the aim of this course is to study games from the mathematical perspective. to learn how to formulate problems that involve strategic interaction as mathematical games and be able to use the appropriate mathematical tools to study such games.

Course Description
Official: (Mathematics, Mathematics and Information Engineering Majors and students who have taken MAT4250 cannot take this course to fulfil General Education requirements.) The aim of this course is to investigate the manner in which rational people interact when there are competitions. This applies to parlor games and more importantly to economy, social psychology, politics and business. We will introduce the great discoveries of Von Neumann and Nash, and discuss their impact on society. Also, we will use examples on cooperative and non-cooperative games to illustrate how some basic mathematical methods can lead to optimal strategies for deals, bargaining and decision making.

Myself: learn some math knowledge to analyse game theory
