An introduction course to philosophy focused on epistemology and metaphysics. Topics include: 1. René Descartes' Meditation I and II 2. the Gettier problem, 3. Anselm's Ontological Argument for God's Existence, 4. Freewill, 5. Physicalism versus Dualism, 6. Personal Identity.
Assessment
1. Mid-term and Final Exam 50% (25% each) 2. Short term paper (1200 words) 30% 3. Tutorial Performance 20%
