Course Description
I have learnt about the politics of popular culture such as why there is an emergence of entertainment industry after 1967 riot in Hong Kong.
Moreover, Studies of similarity between Elvis Presley and Sam Hui, the Beatles and the Wynners are also covered in this course.
Apart from music, culture in films are discussed in class as well such as filming techniques, use of shots according to generations.

However, the workload is quite heavy as a ug course. you have to do one group presentation and two research paper (one for midterm and one for final). But it is not a problem if you are interested in popular culture.
Assessment
